The Market Season is almost over! Visit the Farmers Market this week and enjoy everything we have to offer before it's too late. Last Day of the Market is September 27. Our good friends Horizon Wings will again visit with their beautiful birds of prey.
Last week, September 20, we stayed on to help celebrate Ashford Family Fun day! The Ashford
Conservation Commission had an informational display about the pending Knowlton Farm and
possible purchasing of development rights which will come up for a vote later this year.
Related Events: On October 21, there will be a free workshop on
"Protecting Family Farms and Forests" at Knowlton Hall. The event begins at 7pm. For more information, visit
What can be found at the market? August is a great month for produce, featuring all kinds of fruits (blueberries, peaches, and soon apples) and vegetables including
corn, beans, squash and potatoes. Or pick up a colorful bouquet of fall flowers!
Other offerings at the market include local maple syrup and honey, fresh
baked goods, artisan cheese, handmade soaps and salves, plants and flowers.
Also we have a craftsman creating bookcases and Adirondack chairs and a
fiber woman with hand spun wool and wool blends.
